Name: Ryouichi Altamirano Takehiko

Etymology:

Ryouichi (亮一): "clear one"
Altamirano: "high view"
Takehiko (武彦): "military prince"

Age: 17 (April 22 B-day; Taurus :'D)

Year Level: Three, Foreign Exchange Student

Weapon: Track and Field Javelin

A set of sturdy throwing javelins he used when training for a tournament. It's the only event he won gold in (errything else was silver ), so he practices that more often. He can use it like a normal spear or throw them, although if he does the latter he'll have to pick it up after the battle.

Track and Field Hammer
It's just a regular hammer that Ryouichi used when he was practicing for competitions. He still keeps it with him now out of habit, and it makes a good weapon for him, since he's used to handling it. It weights about 20 lbs, about 4lbs heavier than the standard issue hammer, since it was used for training.

Personality:

Ryouichi's quiet, reserved, and generally gives off an aura of solitude. He comes off as stoic, curt, and independent and is often very brisk and clipped with his responses. Due to his independent nature, he often does everything (or tries to do everything) by himself. To make up for this, he's hardworking and focused, especially when a task demands something from him. He tends to make frank, direct comments, and appears slightly irritable around talkative and noisy people, but he means well despite the display of annoyance. Despite the serious attitude, he has a soft side to him that usually shows when he's around girls he...likes. When that happens, he tends to act a bit more clumsy and soft towards them (aka he's a tsundere :'D)

Strengths:

Track and Field: He's extremely good at the sport, in fact, before Higashimori, he got by with an Athletic Scholarship in Spain.
Independent: He's used to doing things by himself, like the laundry and other things.
Playing the Spanish Guitar: He can carry a tune on the spanish guitar, although he's no expert.
Knowledge of Caring for Animals: He works part-time at an animal shelter, meaning he has the basic knowledge to care for household pets
Quick thinking: He's quick to find weaknesses among his enemies and he's good at coming up with ideas (although sometimes not too bright) to slip by problems that arise.

Weaknesses:

Antisocial: He generally tires of conversation easily and if often at a loss for what say when faced with new people to talk to
Distrustful: He has a hard time bringing people into his life; he tends to doubt the sincerity of other peoples' words
Hypochondriac: He's slightly paranoid about his injury, and usually overreacts to any kind of damage done to any part close to his injury
High Expectations: He generally expects a lot more than normal from other people and himself; he sets the bar a bit too high.
Cooking: He's terrible. |D He gets by on cup noodles when his father's not home (aka most of the time)

Character History:

Ryouichi was born in Japan, his mother was Spanish, and his father was a Japanese peacekeeper. At the age of four his father and mother divorced, and he, his sister, and his - at the time pregnant - mother were sent to live in Barcelona, Spain. After his mother gave birth, she immediately sought work at a vineyard to try and support her and her three children. Ryouichi and his older sister were sent to school, although his sister dropped out early to help their mother earn a living.

Ryouichi managed to get an Athletic Scholarship to sustain his education, competing in various track and field competitions nationwide. However, during one competition, he sustained a serious injury to his leg and ankles. While he made a full recovery, his scholarship was revoked during the time of injury, leaving the family unable to pay for the tuition. At a loss for what to do, his mother made the painful decision of sending him back to his father in Japan, who agreed to take Ryouichi, now turning 17, and supply the funds to finish his education. (He had not managed to graduate, but was already at his final year in Spain, making him a senior.)

- He tends to bring stray animals he finds on the road back home with him; since his father disapproves though, they're sent to animal shelters at the end of the day anyway.
